Pink Shirt Day
Event Description:
Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!
Pink Shirt Day is Friday 22 May in 2020! Let your people know what the fuss is all about and why your workplace is committed to preventing bullying and creating a positive and safe environment for everyone.
Every year, one in 10 workers in Aotearoa experience bullying in the workplace. In order to prevent bullying it’s essential workplaces have a clear understanding of what it is, and the impact that it can have on individuals and the morale of teams.
Ideas For Workplaces:
To recognise this event…
- Download the Workplace Toolkit and present it in your team catch-ups. Pinkshirtday.org describes it as “an array of tools to help create positive workplace environments and cultures where mana-enhancing, open communication is the norm so bullying cannot thrive. We’ve also included an exercise for teams to reflect on the values of their organisation, creating shared understandings and setting clear expectations of acceptable behaviours”.
- Get everyone one to wear pink shirts to raise awareness to this cause!
