Winter Solstice
Event Description:
The Shortest Day
This year the 21st June marks the winter solstice for the Southern Hemisphere – the fewest daylight hours! There may be a few more weeks before the temperatures start to warm but the light in the evenings will ever so slowly start to extend after this date.
Ideas for Workplaces:
To recognise this event…
Hold a ‘Winter Solstice’ get together (virtual or otherwise); this could be a morning tea or lunch with wintery-themed foods and perhaps even a virtual fireplace on a near-by TV or computer screen!
